The two iPad shortcuts
PalmaClip adds its actions to the Shortcuts app automatically. Two of them are worth assembling into keyboard chords, because with a Magic Keyboard attached the iPad keyboard extension is out of reach and these become the fastest way to save and paste.
Paste a recent clip

Common questions
Why does the keyboard ask for Full Access?
A keyboard extension cannot read anything your app has saved unless you grant Full Access. PalmaClip needs it purely to read your own clip history out of the shared container on your device so it can paste it. It is not used to send anything anywhere. The keyboard contains no networking code at all, so there is nothing for it to send data to.
Why does PalmaClip not save clips in the background?
iOS does not allow any app to read the clipboard while it is in the background. This is an Apple privacy restriction and it applies to every clipboard app, not only this one. Any app claiming otherwise on iPhone or iPad is describing something different from what it does. PalmaClip saves a clip when you bring the app forward, use the share sheet, use the keyboard, or run one of the shortcuts above.
The Mac is different. macOS allows it, so PalmaClip for Mac saves text as you copy it, for as long as the app is running. The privacy policy says exactly what it keeps.
How does syncing work?
Your clips sync through your own iCloud account, using the private database that only you can read. They are not copied to any server belonging to us, because there is no such server. If you sign out of iCloud, syncing stops and your clips stay on the device.
How does the first week work, and what is PalmaClip Pro?
Everything is unlocked for seven days from the first launch. After that, PalmaClip Pro keeps it all going. It is one purchase, not a subscription, and it covers iPhone, iPad and Mac, shared with your family through Family Sharing.
Without Pro, PalmaClip becomes read-only after the week: every clip you saved stays and still copies, but new clips are not saved. Nothing is deleted.
Everyone keeps their 50 most recent clips, during the week and with Pro. Pinned clips do not count toward the 50.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
On iPhone or iPad, open Settings inside PalmaClip and choose Restore Purchases. On the Mac, open the panel and choose Restore Purchases from its gear menu. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with.
How do I delete a clip, or all of them?
On iPhone or iPad, swipe a clip left to delete it. To clear everything at once, tap the ... button at the top right and choose Clear History. On the Mac, right-click a clip and choose Delete. Clearing keeps your pinned clips; unpin one first to delete it. A deleted clip is removed from your other devices and from your iCloud copy too.
